3. Numerus fixus programmes
Sometimes the number of applications exceeds the number of places available for a degree programme. These programmes are called numerus fixus programmes. Educational institutions select their own students for these programmes. Selection may be based on your motivation, personality, final list of grades and previous scores in school.
No more than 2 selection programmes
You can apply for no more than 2 numerus fixus programmes per academic year. You may apply for the same programme at 2 different educational institutions, with these exceptions: medicine, dentistry, dental hygiene and physiotherapy. For these programmes you can only apply at 1 institution.
The application deadline for numerus fixus programmes in 2018-2019 has passed. The deadline was 15 January 2018.
How often can you take part?
The educational institution determines how often you can participate in the selection process for a specific degree programme, with a maximum of 3 times. This includes any times you participated in the selection process before the academic year 2017-2018.
Taking part from abroad
Would you like to take part in the selection process while you are abroad? Please contact the educational institution about the possibilities.
The results will be announced on 15 April 2018. You will receive the results through Studielink.
If you have been selected, you need to accept your place within 2 weeks, also in Studielink. If you don’t, you will forfeit your place.
