If you are not eligible for student finance, you must meet the following 2 conditions to qualify for the tuition fee loan:
- You are under 30.

If you are in university or higher education, use the Application tuition fees loan form for your application. Are you in secondary vocational education or adult education? Then use the Application for a contribution towards course fees form.
Apply if you are eligible for student finance
When you apply for student finance, you can apply for the tuition fee loan at the same time. You can also apply for it later via Mijn DUO.
If you cannot log in to Mijn DUO, use the form Wijzigingen student.
Loan or gift
You always have to pay back the tuition fee loan. The contribution towards course fees is a gift.
As of the study year 2018/2019 the statutory tuition fee for 1st-year students taking a Bachelor or Associate degree course, will be cut in half.
